THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

TEXT: Daniel 1: 15-20

THEME: GOD WILL QUALIFY YOU.
    
Memory verse: “And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness….” (2 Corinthians 12:9a).

The General Overseer has a favourite saying that 'life is not by struggle' and that 'even if you are not qualified, God will qualify you'. To the unbeliever, this might sound strange, but it is actually very real and true for those that choose to rely on God rather than their own strength and abilities. If you choose to rely on your own capabilities and physical strengthen then you are in for a rough ride. 

You will struggle hard with no guarantee that you will even make it. While a few might be lucky, most people end up working like an elephant and eating like an ant.
 If the race was for the strongest then a truck pusher should have been the richest man on earth!

To be clear, this saying does not mean that you should not be diligent or put no effort and expect a big windfall. No. Rather, it means that whatever you want to do, first ask God for direction and guidance. 
The Bible says that we should commit our ways unto the Lord, and He will grant us success. Put Him first. 

You don't need millions to start something. With little or nothing God can reveal an idea to you that will generate billions. He can divinely arrange your steps to connect you to an endeavour that on your own, you could never have crossed paths. He will grant you favour that when you bid for a contract you will be favoured amongst others. 
He will give you divine utterance that when you go for that interview you will be able to impress the panel. 

This is because you have placed God first and committed your ways to His hand. While others are struggling, He will go ahead and clear the path for you. That is what we mean when we say that God will qualify you even when you are not qualified.

Daniel and his friends decided to stand apart and not defile themselves with the king's table. They committed their ways to God, and they came out ten times better than their counterparts.
God will never allow those that trust in Him to be put to shame. Start to rely on God today and He will go before you and make the crooked paths straight.
 Life is not by struggle if you can commit your ways to Him.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Lord, I commit all my ways and plans into your hands asking for divine guidance, in  Jesus name. 

2. O God my Father, go before me and make every crooked paths straight, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, I pray for divine favour and connections, in Jesus name.

4. Lord, make the ways of our G. O and Mommy in the Lord straight. Let favour, miracle,  blessings, signs and wonders follow them always, in Jesus name.
