THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL - MAY 04

Image
THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL GUIDE DATE: Tuesday, May 4th, 2021.  TEXT: James 2:13 THEME: MERCY: ANTIDOTE TO EVERY POISON  Memory Verse: “It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.” (Lamentations 3:22) Sin is like poison infused into the bloodstream and has the capability to contaminate and pollute and subsequently bring death. This became the fate of the mortal man as he sinned against God. The judgment being death, he was heading towards eternal damnation until the love of God propelled mercy and God intervened. Therefore, it is obvious that without the mercy of God, humans are endangered species. The mercy of God is so powerful that it is an antidote to every spiritual poison. This is why it has the power to cancel judgment. Judgment upon the head of any human is designed to make that person to serve some kind of punishment. It could be the judgment of death, sickness and disease, curses, poverty, failure, stagnation,...

(Gen 22: 16-18). Have you been suffering for long and lost all hope ?  Have your faith failed you as a result of you waiting on God ?  Have you been afflicted, abandoned and left for dead? Cheer up, for the Lord has SWORN TO BLESS YOU! It's a two days power packed program that promises Healing, Deliverances, Blessings, Miracles, Sanctification and Holy Ghost baptism. So, are you in Enugu and it's environs, you have to invite as many as you can to come and meet wi...

THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - APRIL 24

Image
THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL GUIDE  DATE: 24 Saturday, April 24th, 2021 TEXT: Daniel 1: 15-20 THEME: GOD WILL QUALIFY YOU.      Memory verse: “And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness….” (2 Corinthians 12:9a). The General Overseer has a favourite saying that 'life is not by struggle' and that 'even if you are not qualified, God will qualify you'. To the unbeliever, this might sound strange, but it is actually very real and true for those that choose to rely on God rather than their own strength and abilities. If you choose to rely on your own capabilities and physical strengthen then you are in for a rough ride.  You will struggle hard with no guarantee that you will even make it. While a few might be lucky, most people end up working like an elephant and eating like an ant.  If the race was for the strongest then a truck pusher should have been the richest man on earth! To be clear, this ...

THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL - APRIL 20

Image
THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL GUIDE  DATE : Tuesday, April 20th, 2021. TEXT : Matthew 5: 43-48 THEME: YOU HAVE TO DO MORE THAN OTHERS.   Memory verse: “For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5: 20). As Christians we have been called to a higher standard than what obtains in the world around us. What might be permissible for others may not be acceptable for us as children of God. To whom much is given much is expected. We have been given so much and therefore much is also expected from us.  The Spirit of the Living God dwells in us and we must do our best not to grieve it.  We have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and are expected to be holy just like our Heavenly Father.  We have been charged to follow the footsteps of Christ and most times the path we are to follow will not align with the world. While ...

THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - APRIL 19TH

Image
THE LORD'S CHOSEN DEVOTIONAL GUIDE DATE: Monday, April 19th, 2021.  Text: Romans 2: 21-29 THEME: BEWARE OF HYPOCRISY  Memory verse: “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:5) There are many Christians that practice a 'do as I say and not as I do,' type of Christianity. They pretend to be holier than thou but, they are no better than the people they are preaching against. In fact, sometimes they are even worse. They seem to think that they are immune to God's judgment. Our passage today implores us to do what we preach. We need to be the mirror image of Christ here on earth. It is wrong for us to engage in the same behaviour that we are condemning. When we do so, we not only make mockery of the gospel, but also stand condemned with the same judgment we use to judge others. It also makes the gospel to be blasphemed among unbelievers. They use the e...
